Robb Fahrion of Flying V Group explains how Flying V Group leverages AI to enhance digital marketing, content creation, and SEO. The team develops a proprietary LLM to generate raw content while ensuring human oversight for brand authority and compliance. AI is deployed across industries like finance, legal, medical, and ecommerce to improve efficiency and data analysis. As search evolves with AI-driven tools like ChatGPT and Perplexity, brands must adapt to multi-turn, experience-based discovery. Flying V Group prioritizes practical AI applications, focusing on real business use cases to drive measurable results.

How does Flying V Group use AI in marketing and business?

At Flying V Group, we leverage AI for many different tasks throughout the organization. Our team is developing a proprietary LLM that allows us to rapidly produce raw content output for case studies, white papers, blogs, ad copy/creative, and much more, but we use human editing and guardrails in order to inject unique brand authority or subject matter expertise. The tool also deploys the content in formats that are highly optimized for technical SEO/GEO components. We believe that companies need to lean in and leverage AI in order to become more efficient, accurate, and to help analysts sort through large amounts of data to identify strong opportunities for improved performance.

What industries have you worked with using AI, and what challenges did you face?

We deploy AI across all of our client work, which is industry agnostic. We’ve deployed these applications with businesses in finance, accounting, legal, medical, ecommerce, local service businesses, and much more. For industries like legal, medical, and financial services, the challenges remain the same even if you were using 100% human writers. We must vet, edit, confirm/validate, and clean up content regardless of where it might come from and ensure that the content is also compliant from a legal standpoint. We also must consider where we are sending client data and the nature of the data. AI data privacy is of utmost importance to our group and we hold client data with the utmost sensitivity.

How do you think AI will change digital marketing, and how are you preparing for it?

AI has already changed digital marketing and will continue doing so faster and faster. We are actively thinking to ourselves, “how do we eliminate our agency with AI?” and then we are incorporating ways to do so. I do not believe that humans will ever be fully replaced, but AI can help our team to be better, work faster, which in turn provides more value and better performance to our clients. AI will change every area of digital marketing from content/ad creation to data analysis to agent deployment of monotonous/cumbersome tasks.

How will AI change the way brands tell their stories?

Brands must consider that users are finding them in different ways due to AI. Google is quickly losing search share to tools like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Grok. We now must consider that search and online information gathering is not binary in the sense of a search that leads to a finite result. Now, searches are becoming “multi-turn” and experience based because users are asking conversational models multiple questions. Brands must consider the type of content they are producing and the ways in which the stories are told in order to gain visibility in this fast-changing search environment that will become even more “multi-turn” based

How do you decide which AI trends are worth following and which are just hype?

There are so many different AI trends that it can be hard to keep up with where the market is going and what makes sense to actually incorporate. Our team looks at applications that have actual viability when it comes to implementing and deploying within our organization. We look for actual business use cases in which we can incorporate or deploy AI within our organization and monitor/track the performance of the deployment. This helps us to hone in on the specific trends that make the most sense for our business since there are practical business applications that we can use the AI with.
